Practice Matches commence this week

The Tigers 2025 year will finally hit the ground running this weekend with Practice Matches scheduled for the Seniors, Reserves and Thirds. It has been a long pre-season and everyone is ready to go in what is shaping up as another exciting season with Coorparoo elevated to the QAFL and old rivals the Sandgate Hawks joining the QFA Division 1, elevated from Division 2.


The Seniors and Reserves have scheduled a six quarter trial game for this Saturday 22nd March against Springwood away at 12pm with the combined six quarter game involving the entire senior squad. This will be an important hit out for both clubs with the Pumas looking to improve on their performance in 2024 where they suffered significant injuries to a number of their key performers while the Tigers will be looking to see how a number of their new recruits perform under pressure.


The Thirds will play Yeronga this Friday night at Yeronga commencing at 7pm in their first formal practice match for the year. The Thirds have had strong numbers once again so it will be exciting to see how the new recruits gel with the tried and true Tigers.


The Tigers have also arranged for their second hit out for the 29th March against Kedron at home for the Reserves and Seniors in separate games commencing at 11.00am and 1.00pm on the 29th March 2025.


The Mayne Season Launch for all grades is scheduled for this Saturday 22nd March at the Grange Bowls Club following the Springwood trial game. The night will kick off at 6pm and promises to be a lot of fun and then it will be all systems are go for 2025.


Round 1 for the Hart Sport QFA Division 1 season will commence on Saturday 12th April 2025 against the Hinterland Blues at Hinterland followed by the Round 2 Anzac Day Clash with the Sandgate Hawks on Saturday 26th April 2025. Easter will be a bye for all clubs.


The Tigers are looking to build on the fantastic support received in 2024 for the centenary year and look forward to seeing plenty of Tigers new and old at their games this year.
